Delivery

Delivery Times

We aim to dispatch in-stock orders in 1-3 working days. Once your order is on it’s way to you, you will receive an email notification which will include tracking details if being sent by courier.

If your required amount is not in stock, please allow the following lead times for delivery:

Fabrics: 4-6 weeks

Wallpapers: 4-6 weeks

On receiving your order we will contact you with a more accurate delivery time.

If you require your order urgently, please contact us before ordering and we will try our best to help you.

Orders sent by courier will require a signature when delivered, so please arrange for someone to be in to receive it or have it delivered to your workplace.

Please note delivery times are not guaranteed and may take a little longer sometimes, especially around the holidays.

UK

Samples and small items are sent by Royal Mail 1st or 2nd Class post and should be delivered in 2-7 working days. Proof of Postage is obtained for each package. This is not a tracked service; if you would like tracking added please contact us.

Wallpaper, fabric, cushions, lampshades and other larger items are sent by courier, usually UPS or UK Mail. Once the package has been shipped (which may take up to 3 working days) parcels are usually delivered within 1-3 working day throughout most of the UK’s mainland.

International

Samples and small items are sent by Royal Mail Airmail. Delivery times vary throughout the world, but please allow 10-21 working days to be safe. Proof of Postage is obtained for each package. Airmail is not a tracked service; if you would like tracking added please contact us. If you require samples urgently please contact us before ordering.

Wallpaper, fabric, cushions, lampshades and other larger items are sent by courier, usually UPS, FedEx or DHL. Once the package has been shipped (which may take up to 3 working days) parcels are usually delivered within 3-7 working days throughout worldwide destinations.

Own Courier

If you have your own account with a courier you’d like to charge the shipment to, we are more than happy to do this. Please contact us before ordering to arrange.

Returns & Refunds

We do our very best to ensure that our customers are satisfied with our products and service.

In the event that any products delivered to you are damaged or faulty, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt where we will ask you to return the goods straight away. Shipping charges on returned orders are at the customer’s expense and we recommend recorded/tracked post as we will not be responsible for goods lost or damaged in transit. Postage will be refunded only if goods are faulty or an error has been made on our part.

If you are not satisfied with a product, please notify us within 28 days and return the goods to:

Abigail Borg, Studio 103, The Jubilee Centre, 130 Pershore Street, Birmingham B5 6ND.

Products will be refunded or exchanged providing that they are in the same condition as when they left the studio, and that you have taken reasonable care to package goods accordingly to ensure their safe return to the studio. Unfortunately, post and packaging costs are non refundable and we are not held responsible for returns that do not reach us.

Please note that cut lengths of fabric (unless faulty) cannot be returned or exchanged.

Privacy & Cookies

I take my Site users and customers’ (“you or “your”) privacy seriously and am committed to meeting my legal obligations relating to the collection and processing of data relating to individuals. All personal data submitted by you to me will be processed in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998, and be used solely for the purpose of processing and delivering your Order. Links to any third party websites provided on this Site are not covered by this Privacy Policy and when visiting such third party websites please check the privacy policies of each website that you visit.

Fraud Prevention and Detection

Payments for my Products may be made by you to Abigail Borg via the Site. We have systems that protect Abigail Borg and our customers against fraud. Accordingly, we may disclose your credit or debit card details to fraud prevention or other similar agencies. If you provide us with fraudulent or misleading information and we suspect fraud, we will make appropriate records.

Cookies

“Cookies” are electronic tags sent to an Internet browser by an Internet server. A cookie takes the form of a text file message called “cookie.txt” which identifies the end-user Internet Protocol (IP) address. Each time the Internet browser accesses the Internet server, a “cookie.txt” message is sent back to the Internet browser by the Internet server and is stored automatically on the computer hard-drive of your PC. A cookie’s purpose is to identify users’ Internet activity and personalise their visit to websites by customising web pages for them.

We may use cookies on the Site for the purpose of monitoring user activity in order to improve the Site and the services and products available to users. If you do not wish for us to use cookies when you use the Site, please change your Internet browser settings so that your Internet browser does not accept cookies.

Mailing List

We will never pass any of your details on to any 3rd party. You may occasionally get an email newsletter from us, which you can easily unsubscribe to by clicking the relevant link on the newsletter, or by contacting Abigail Borg.

Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions are the terms and conditions on which Abigail Borg and the abigailborg.com website agrees to sell Products to you. If we accept your Order, both of us will be legally bound by these terms and conditions. Any contract between us, whether for use of the site or in relation to the purchase of products or services through the site will be governed by UK law

1. Definitions

1.1 The following terms will have the following meaning in these terms and conditions:

“Designs” the surface pattern I create as shown on the Website;

“I” “me” “mine” “we” “us” Abigail Borg;

“IPR” means intellectual property rights including copyright, design right, trademarks, patents and any other similar rights whether registered or unregistered existing anywhere in the world;

“Order” an order placed by you via the Website or via telephone to Abigail Borg for the purchase of Products;

“Price” the price as displayed on the Website for the Products to be purchased by you as indicated in your Order;

“Products” the products produced incorporating my Designs (including, without limitation, wallpaper rolls, samples, fabric rolls, furnishing fabrics and prints) as identified in your Order;

“Website” the website accessible via www.abigailborg.com and all other domain names owned and operated by me linking to the same content; and

“you” “your” the customer placing an Order via the Website and/or phone.

2. Ordering & Payment

2.1 abigailborg.com accepts payment by Paypal, which is safe and easy to use.  You do not have to have an account with Paypal to use it.  If you would prefer to send payment via BACS or cheque, please e-mail us at [email protected] and we will send you further information.

Credit or debit cards are not accepted at the moment, sorry.

2.2 All payments must be in £UK Pounds Sterling. The exchange rate that will apply is determined by your card issuer. Please contact your card issuer for further information on the applicable rates of exchange. You agree that we may issue you with invoices in electronic form by email.

2.3 In accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you are granted a cancellation period of seven working days from the date of submission of the Order. Notice of cancellation must be in writing and must be sent by email to [email protected]

2.4 Full payment is required before dispatch of goods, including any outstanding invoices.

2.5 By submitting an Order, you will be deemed to accept these terms and conditions.

3. Dispatch & Delivery

3.1 On receipt of payment for an Order, delivery of the relevant products will be made to you at the address stated by you in the Order.

3.2 Acknowledge and accept that we are reliant on supply chains (including third party printers) in fulfilling Orders. In the event that an Order is placed which cannot immediately be fulfilled as a result of reliance on third party suppliers, we will inform you as soon as practicable and delivery may be delayed until such time as stock is available.

3.3 We currently aim to dispatch products within 5 working days of receiving the Order. Dispatch date will be confirmed on receipt of full payment. Special methods of carriage and insurance can be arranged at extra cost.

3.4 Depending on the size of the Order, UK orders are delivered using Royal Mail or a courier service, where you will be supplied with tracking number and information on both accounts. Please allow 3-5 working days for your Order to arrive.

3.5 International Orders will be delivered using Royal Mail Airmail with Proof of Postage being obtained for each package. Should a Customer want a tracking number with services such as Royal Mail Internation Signed For™ or a courier service, this will be calculated on receipt of an order. Please allow one to three weeks for your Order to arrive.

3.6 IMPORTANT – CUSTOMS & DUTY. Please note that all shipments to OUTSIDE the EU (European Union) may be subject to import duties and taxies, which are levied once a shipment reaches that country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. If your Order does incur import duties and taxes by your local customs authority in your country, then these will need to be paid direct by you to them before they will release your shipment. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you may want to contact your local customs office for further information. You agree to indemnify us in full in respect of any such duties and taxes.

4. Returns Policy

4.1 In the event that any products Ordered by you are lost or damaged in transit, please contact us immediately via email at [email protected]

4.2 In the event that any products delivered to you pursuant to your Order are damaged or of a quality or specification which is reasonably less than that represented on the Website or requested in the Order, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt. We will ask you to return the damaged or faulty goods to us straight away. Shipping charges on returned merchandise are at the customer’s expense and we recommend registered post as we will not be responsible for goods lost or damaged in transit. Postage will be refunded only if goods are faulty or an error has been made on our part.

4.3 Lampshade Returns

As our lampshades are very fragile to ship, we ask you to use a tracked and insured courier as we cannot be responsible for damages on their return journey. They must be packed with care in their original packaging & once they arrive safe and sound at our studio we will issue a refund. Please put all your details in the box including your order number.Please make sure to measure your space carefully to ensure you order the correct size and avoid returns. Always email and ask for our advice and take advantage of the free swatch service we offer before ordering as we are always happy to help!If your order has been damaged in transit you must inform us within 3 days so we can contact our courier. and send you a replacement. We will require pictures of the damaged lampshade and packaging.5. Production Information

Unless stated otherwise, all Abigail Borg products are designed, manufactured and/or printed in the UK. This is done to support British craftsmanship and reduce our carbon footprint.

5.1 Wallpapers
On delivery of your Order, please check all rolls for faults before hanging, as well as checking all have corresponding batch numbers. The customer should only hang 3 drops before reporting a fault and should contact Abigail Borg immediately if a fault is found.

Please order enough rolls needed for the job, as it is not guaranteed any additional rolls with corresponding batch numbers will be available once your Order has been dispatched. Batch numbers can be found on the label as well as on your Order Receipt. Any unopened rolls can be returned as long as they are in the same condition as when dispatched.

On occasions rolls of wallpaper are opened to be used for taking samples from. This can leave several metres available should a customer only need a small amount to finish a job. Please email [email protected] for further information.

Please note that colours will vary from what you see on-screen to the actual wallpaper, and should be used as a guide only. It is recommended to order a sample or visit your nearest stockist.

5.1.2 Fabric
On delivery of your Order, please check the fabric for any faults. Cut lengths of fabric cannot be returned or exchanged, unless found to be faulty.

Please order enough fabric for the job, as it is not guaranteed any additional fabric with corresponding batch numbers will be available once your Order has been dispatched. Batch numbers can be found on your Order Receipt.

Please note that colours will vary from what you see on-screen to the actual fabric, and should be used as a guide only. It is recommended to order a sample or visit your nearest stockist.

5.1.3 Cushions
On delivery of your Order please check the cushion for any faults.

All cushions are hand finished, so each one may vary ever so slightly in size (44cm: +/- 2cm).

Positioning Of Pattern: As each product is individually handmade to order, the exact positioning of the pattern may differ to the photograph on our website.

Please note that colours will vary from what you see on-screen to the actual cushions, and should be used as a guide only. It is recommended to order a fabric sample or visit your nearest stockist.

5.1.4 Lampshades
On delivery of your Order please check the lampshade for any faults.

Positioning Of Pattern: As each product is individually handmade to order, the exact positioning of the pattern may differ to the photograph on our website.  The seams on the lampshade join may not join up as we use a variety of different prints to produce our lampshades.

Please note that colours will vary from what you see on-screen to the actual cushions, and should be used as a guide only. It is recommended to order a fabric sample or visit your nearest stockist.

5.1.4.1 Product Safety
Please read the instructions, manuals and other user documentation that comes with your products carefully. Love Frankie manufacture the lampshades we sell but is not involved in the manufacture of any other products and will not advise on their use or operation or the manufacturer’s guidelines. Please follow guidance for electrical products carefully.

We recommend using energy saving lightbulbs with our lampshades. Ceiling Pendant Shades should be hung vertically. Please exercise common sense when using our lampshades they are not suitable for use with a naked flame. Our lampshades are made by applying fabric to a PVC backing. The PVC backing is designed for lampshades and has passed the Glow-Wire Flammability Test – BS EN 60695-2-1: 1996 (Fire Hazard Testing).

6. Privacy Policy

7. IPR (Intellectual Property Rights)

7.1 All IPR in the Design remain owned by Abigail Borg and all IPR in the Products sold by Abigail Borg pursuant to an Order under these terms and conditions are and will remain owned by me or the relevant supplier of third party Products (as the case may be), and nothing in these terms and conditions will in any circumstances assign, sell or otherwise transfer the IPR in the Designs or Products to you or any other person. Furthermore, you are not granted any licence of the IPR in the Designs or Products by virtue of these terms and conditions.

7.2 Accordingly, Products are sold by me to you for non-commercial use by you as a consumer only and reproductions of the Designs or Products may not be made or re-sold without my express written permission or the express written permission of the relevant third party owner of the IPR in such Products.

7.3 You will be responsible for your use of the Products and you acknowledge and accept that I do not make any representation or warranty about the Products whether express or implied. For the avoidance of doubt, I do not warrant that the Products will not infringe the IPR of any third party.

8. Limitation of Liablilty

8.1 In no event will I be liable to you, whether in contract, tort, by statute or otherwise for any special, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the sale of the Products to you, including without limitation: loss of business and/or Products, loss of goodwill, loss of profits, loss and/or corruption of data and/or damages awarded against you as a result of legal proceedings by any third party in relation to the Products, including any claim that the Products infringe the IPR of any third party. For the avoidance of doubt, neither the types of loss and/or damage specified above nor any similar types of loss and/or damage will constitute direct loss for the purposes of this agreement.

8.2 I will not be liable to you for any acts, omissions or failures of third party sub-contractors used by me in delivering Products to you pursuant to Orders placed by you under these terms and conditions, including but not limited to intermediary suppliers of Products, service providers for the delivery of Products and service providers of the secure online e-commerce payment system on the Website.

8.3 Nothing in these terms and conditions will limit your statutory rights as a consumer.

Product Information

General

On delivery of your order, please check all fabrics and wallpaper rolls for any faults before cutting or hanging (as well as checking all wallpapers have corresponding batch numbers).

The customer should only hang 3 drops of wallpaper before reporting a fault and should contact Abigail Borg immediately if a fault is found. Cut lengths of fabric cannot be returned or exchanged unless found to be faulty. Postage will be refunded only if goods are faulty or damaged, or an error has been made on our part.

Please order enough fabric or wallpaper needed for the job, as it is not guaranteed any additional lengths or rolls from a corresponding print batch will be available once your order has been dispatched.

We recommend that you request a colour swatch or sample before ordering if colour matching is important. As a lot of our fabrics and wallpapers are printed to order there may be slight colours variations from batch to batch, including those in sample books.

Fabrics

Our fabrics are proudly printed at a textiles mill in the North of England.

We currently offer the following fabrics :

55% Linen/45% Cotton

Usage: drapery and light upholstery
Martindale: 13,000

Print width: The print width of this cloth can vary fractionally from batch to batch between 137cm – 139cm, which is out of the hands of our supplier.

20% Linen/80% Viscose

Usage: drapery and light upholstery
Martindale: 20,000

Care

We recommend that all of our fabrics are dry cleaned.

Specialist Fabrics

We are able to print onto a range of fabrics for various usages such as contract upholstery and outdoors, as well as with a range of finishes such as waterproof, flame retardant and MRSA resistant. We’d love to hear about your project, so please contact the studio and we will try our best to help you.

Wallpapers

Our wallpapers are proudly printed in the UK onto 180gsm coated non woven paper.

The wallpapers require a ‘paste the wall’ application. Specialist wallpaper paste for this purpose can be picked up easily from most DIY stores.

Wallpapers have a minimum order quantity of 1 roll.

Specialist Wallpapers

We are able to print onto a range of substrates suitable for use in various sectors such as healthcare, commercial, the hotel and leisure sector or retail.  We’d love to hear about your project, so please contact the studio and we will try our best to help you.

FAQs

Where are your products made?

To support British manufacturing and craftsmanship and reduce our carbon footprint, all Abigail Borg products are very proudly designed, printed and manufactured in the UK.

All cushions are sewn nearby to the studio in Digbeth by Textiles By St Anne’s, which is a social enterprise connected to the local charity Better Pathways, the working title of Birmingham Industrial Therapy Association. Better Pathways engages with adults experiencing mental health problems on a pathway towards recovery using a person-centred approach through education, volunteering, employment.

Do you accept international orders?

Yes, we are more than happy to send orders to international customers directly from the studio. Please note that all shipments to OUTSIDE the EU (European Union) may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Where can I see your products in person?

Abigail Borg products are stocked in various stores and boutiques around the world, please refer to the stockists page to find your nearest stockist or country representative.

Can I do a work placement with Abigail Borg?

At the moment work placements or internships are not offered. Should this change in the future it’ll most likely be announced on our Facebook or Instagram pages.

Who designed your logotype?

I am thrilled to have worked with renowned type designer Jean François Porchez on my logotype. I am a huge fan of his work, and particularly love his AW Conqueror Didot. You can read a little more about the project on the Typofonderie website

Are you available for illustration commissions?

Yes I am! I have had the pleasure of working with a range of brands, design studios and individuals all over the world, on projects such as packaging design, wall murals, wedding stationery, editorial and homeware designs. Do you accept custom size cushion orders?

Yes. All of our cushions are made locally by a skilled group of soft furnishing seamstresses a few minutes away from our studio in central Birmingham. Please contact the studio with you requirements and we will be happy to assist you.

I want to order fabric for outdoor or contract use - can you help?

Yes. We are able to print our designs onto fabrics suitable for a variety of uses such as contract upholstery and outdoors use which are waterproof, flame retardant and MRSA resistant. Please contact the studio for further information and to tell us a little about your project.
