Abigail Borg is a UK-based textile designer, specialising in beautifully hand-drawn patterns for interiors and home furnishings.

Initially renowned for colourful, intricately patterned wallpapers, Abigail’s collection now includes interior textiles, homewares and gifts.

Abigail has received international recognition for her detailed hand-drawn designs, including winning a British Design Award, and being included in various design resource books. Her collection of wallpapers and soft furnishings are represented by showrooms and stockists around the world.

Sustainability is important to us. All products are designed, printed and made in the UK. Our wallpapers are printed using water-based inks on FSC certified paper, and are completely vinyl and PVC-free. Our fabrics are woven and printed in the UK and are mostly printed to order, to avoid surplus stock and unnecessary wastage.

Having never been driven or interested in trend forecasts, some of her oldest wallpaper and fabrics designs are as popular as more recent additions to the collection. Favoured by some of the worlds leading interior designers and architects, Abigail’s work is a timeless additional to any home or space.

Abigail set up her Birmingham based design studio in 2009.

Inspired by an appreciation for playful interior decoration, colour, pattern and hand drawn illustrations, Abigail completed a degree in Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design at Leeds School of Art. With a final collection consisting of hand drawn and digitally printed wallpapers, Abigail was selected as the 2008 New Designer of the Year at the New Designers show in London, out of thousands of other design graduates.

After a short stint working at a design studio in London and feeling frustrated about working within the constraints of a large brand, Abigail returned back to Birmingham and set to work on launching her first collection of wallpapers. Liberty of London became her first stockist, and Elle Decoration shortlisted Polka Polka wallpaper for a 2009 British Design Award.

A collection of coordinating fabrics and cushions soon followed, with Friti Plum fabric winning Best British Pattern 2010 at The British Design Awards.

In the years that followed Abigail has continued to expand her collection of wallpaper, fabric and homewares designs, as well as working as a freelance illustrator on a broad range of projects, including packaging design, editorial, murals, pattern design and prints for fashion.

Clients include J.Crew, Crabtree & Evelyn, John Lewis, The Royal Gardens at Highgrove and Aveeno skincare.

Abigail lives in Birmingham with her partner and two children.
